Let's get it started! This is THE STEP--to begin investing.

Here is our beginner's investing philosophy, based on the work of the founder of Vanguard.
1. Open an Individual Retirement Account a Roth IRA or a Brokerage Account.
2. There are just two things you should hold in that account:
Cash (like what you'd hold in a savings account) and
3. Research Dollar Cost Averaging
4. Begin Dollar Cost Averaging into an S&P 500 Tracking ETF
And that's it!
Note: The goal is to keep that money invested for at least 5 years, if not more.

All the info you need to get started with investing is here on this website, and this video outlines and gives you an overview of the steps. Those steps are meant to be taken over the course of 6 months to a year, but again, you can do it!
