What do you need to do to start investing?

Updated: Sep 26

Hi! If you have been following this blog, you know that the strategy we teach is one that Jack Bogle of Vanguard popularized: Dollar-Cost Average into an S&P 500 Index Tracking ETF. Invest for the long term--'buy and hold.' Set it and forget it.

Here's an article that talks about how that can turn out. (I suggest you ignore the stock tips and the sales pitch at the end.)

This is the core investing strategy we teach. We have the 12 steps of financial fluency (meant to be taken over the course of 6 months to a year) to help you be ready to put that strategy into practice, because it's HARD! It's hard to take the leap and invest.

Please, take a moment and write in your money journal, 'what might be stopping me from putting this strategy into place?' (if that applies to you) and then free write for a few minutes.

Let me know what you find? Please write it in the comments! And as always, thanks for reading this!
