We are less than 4 weeks from Election Day in the United States, when all districts will be choosing their congressperson, and many will be choosing their senator. Do you know who your lawmakers are? These people decide so many things that affect our lives. And voting is one of the things that makes America America.
Are you registered to vote?
Now is the time! How our country, our states, our city or town are governed can make a HUGE difference in the creation and sustaining of multigenerational wealth, so please make sure your voice is heard. The way to start with that is by registering to vote, and then researching to see who you're voting for.
A non-partisan organization that has useful information is When We All Vote. *Full disclosure, one of the leaders of When We All Vote is Mrs. Michelle Obama, but since her husband no longer holds office, and since the organization is pledged to be non-partisan, this group doesn't take sides. They just want every American citizen above the age of 18 to be registered and ready to V O T E !
Make your voice heard, and make your plan to vote in the upcoming 'Mid-term' Elections (which is the major election that happened every two years in between Presidential elections. This is when all seats in the House of Representatives are up for re-election, and some Senate seats are decided upon. The Senate and the House of Representatives make up Congress, which is the part of our government that makes the laws. How's that for a quickie civics lesson?!)
