Hey there!
Doing your research is the most important thing in investing: learning the basics enough to become confident in making decisions. In investing, there is always the risk of losing money.
When I have lost money with an investment, I made sure I didn’t lose the lesson, and I chalked it up to ‘tuition’ for the learning I gained.
But just getting started has proven to be worthwhile. It really does help to have someone you trust to encourage you. I have great advisors, and that has made a huge difference for me.
The fact that you’re reading this means that you want to improve your financial fluency, and that’s great! Just—start where you are.
I have quoted the proverb many times: The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second best time to plant a tree is today! What might you do that could help you get started with planting those seeds? Let me know in the comments?
